Drugs, Drunks, and Mice

Alrighty. So. Mouse was successfully captured around 3am by myself and Eric and escorted outside with a box filled with paper towels and cheese to keep him warm. Friday I worked. Lots.

Saturday was, however, WONDERFUL. I had a Day O' Fabulousness with ladyfox. She needed to smile more, so we worked on that. We had an awesome lunch at red lobster, followed by pedicures (and free nails for her!) at 007. Then we went to target, back to my house, out to Greenway station to pick up some chopsticks from World Market (that place rocks) and then back to her place where ABM had kindly made dinner for us all, and Sev was there too, which was a very pleasant surprise.

They also convinced me to go to Inferno with them for Leather and Lace night, of which I wore neither, thankfully. It was soo much fun. I think I was more comfortable with more of us there, since Aetrix joined up with us as well (ooh and we'd gone for coffee before that...i lose track), and that I was wearing me clothes, so I was not self conscious, etc. I had ONE drink. So the Inferno is right near my parents lake house and given there was NO parking, sev was nice enough to park in their driveway with me and walk back. On the way back, ABM and LF drove us back to the car. So as I pull out of my parents neighborhood, a cop WHIPS around and pulls me over. He claims I FLEW through a stopsign, which I didn't and then...I won't go through all the details, but apparently this man was convinced I was trashed. He kept flashing his light in the backseat and poor Aetrix and Sev were like, dude, what the hell? Given we were all sober, it was a little ridiculous. So I had to follow his finger with my eyes, which apparently gave him an indication that I might be drunk so i had to GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE, and proceed to the sidewalk where he felt he could tell better. So I followed his finger again, and, get this, was asked to recite the ABC's (do you know the abc's ma'am?) From letters A-M, which I did. He then proceeded to let me go. First of all, no way was I even remotely intoxicated, and secondly, if I had flown through a stopsign, I would've at least gotten a ticket for that. I just wish if he'd been doing routine stops for drunk driving he'd just have been upfront about it. BAh, in retrospect it was amusing, but at the time, I was like, are you fucking kidding me? And had serious thoughts about being loaded into the back of the maple bluff police cruiser...

WARNING: Not for the medically squeamish...

Sunday I went home because yesterday I had some cysts removed from my head. They are no big thing, a hereditary issue from my dad's side (thanks so much) that just kind of bothered me. There were two of them. One of which was small and deep, the other was long and flat. So what they did was shove my head full of lidocaine and cut them out. It wasn't painful, but when they are removed, they grab the skin on either side and pull it together with stitches. Well for the long and flat one, they removed about a 50 cent sized piece, so my head feels like I'm wearing a REALLY tight ponytail, or have recently gotten a facelift, because technically, I did. My scalp has been stretched across and sewn together, and the result is horribly uncomfortable. Now the skin will relax after a while and adapt, but it sure as hell isn't happening yet. It hurts to smile and laughing is just plain torture. Now to top this off, the doctor says, ok, now keep it dry until I take the stitches out (10 days). This means no washing your hair. WHa?! Pardon? I think not. I'm sorry, but I can't even do the wash every other day thing. I have very fine hair and it gets greasy, and stuff, and hello, not to mention the blood and junk that's still in there from the procedure!!! I said of course I'll keep it dry and left. NO FUCKING WAY. I'll be good and I'm not showering today, but tomorrow, lemme tell you I'll wash around it, whatever, or take a 2 minute shower and then rock the blow dryer, but there's no way in hell I'm not washing my hair for 10 days. I WORK! I can't exactly be the face of a law office looking like a greasy dirt monkey. Ew. Sorry, I needed to rant.

SAFE AGAIN

Anywho, so that's my update. I have today off work and then I'm back tomorrow, which should be interesting since I'm working both jobs tomorrow. My head is not going to be happy, but at the end of the night I have a tasty vicoden, so I should be all good. I think that's about it for now. I apologize for the length, but I've been too busy to have broken them up into smaller ones:) Also, happy 4 YEAR anniversary to Lady Fox and ABM!

I'm not sure of any of your secret names for friends, so I have to ask: was anyone in the car black? Best as I can tell, the main purpose of the Maple Bluff police is to keep black people out of Maple Bluff.

I know, right? But no, they're not so much secret names as their LiveJournal handles. They're all people who were at the housewarming. And we were parked at my parents house, driving my new car... not exactly hugely suspicious. Also, none of us were dressed in the theme, so we didn't look outwardly freaky or anything...

it just seems strange that he hassled you so much... what a jerk!

talk about hard work--telling a happy smiley person that smiling will hurt for a while. :)

Ew... good luck with the stitches. You might want to check with the Dr's office to see if they're the disolving kind. And WHY they wanted you to keep it dry. And how they expect you to be able to wash your hair...

Silly.

I'm glad you didn't get a ticket.

*hugs* Thanks again for the day of Fabulous.
